You are right. It’s not about feeling good. What it is about is finding common ground while retaining specific beliefs that are non-negotiable. What it is not about is making statements that automatically puts everyone on the defensive so as to make dialogue impossible.Dialogue isn’t about making people “feel good”. Perhaps you ought to go to the doctor.
The peace process begins with openness and mutual benefit, but is conversely ended when one side demands compliance without an amenable resolution.
