Codex of Gigas?

I had never heard of this before, and if this is not in the correct board, feel free to move it, although this one seemed the most logical to me.

I saw a documentary about this book, and many call it the bible of satan, they said it was 165lb book, 3ft long by 2ft wide, and contained the old and new testaments, but also contain magic spells and rituals, and some depiction of Satan, that they claimed was likely to be accurate, they also said the pages immediately before and after the drawing of satan were ‘cloudy’ and blurred in some way.

I am most interested in when this book was written and who wrote it, and for what purpose, thru out history, this book was been fought over and sought after by many people, it appears just having the book, causes some problems in itself.

It is currently sitting in some kind of secure room, within a museum I believe, but they keep it under lock and key, in a box, and covered, so no sunlight can reach it, apparently letting natural sunlight come upon it, also causes problems, so they take many precautions in storing this book!

Im hoping someone here knows a bit about this book, I doubt it, but would like to see if it has been reprinted and available to read anywhere?

I saw a documentary on the book last night on the National Geographic channel. The book is real, the documentary was pretty concise and explanatory. The book is made of vellum, which darkens when exposed to light, thus the pages with the picture of Satan and surrounding it are dark because they have great curiosity value and have been looked at more frequently and exposed to light more than the rest of the book.

There are no spells, but apparently there are some rites of exorcism, historical texts, medical texts, and the Bible. The above site has a lot of the details.
