If one holds a gun to a woman’s head and says commit fornication or adultory (rape I guess) she in allowing it is not in mortal sin right? That’s not full consent.
Ya think???Seriously? I can’t believe you would question this. You must be a man.
I’m sorry this is so disturbing that anyone would question this, much less not be sure that it is rape. I’m not sure I can stomach these forums.Ya think???![]()

I want to make sure that you, and anyone reading this who doesn’t understand, know that what you described is rape, there is zero consent and the victim is not sinning at all. Even if she didn’t fight back.If one holds a gun to a woman’s head and says commit fornication or adultory (rape I guess) she in allowing it is not in mortal sin right? That’s not full consent.
The “I guess” is offensive. Also I wonder why you chose this subject to ask a general question about sin. You could have very easily said if someone holds a gun to another’s head and forces him to _________ (any other sin in the whole wide world)If one holds a gun to a woman’s head and says commit fornication or adultory (rape I guess) she in allowing it is not in mortal sin right? Don’t let this off-the-wall question color you views of the forum itself. This is not typical, from my experience.I’m sorry this is so disturbing that anyone would question this, much less not be sure that it is rape. I’m not sure I can stomach these forums.
Maybe I used a bad example. Let me try another more questionable example. Though any example involving coercion is going to be something against the individual’s will. We must go to Mass on Sundays. If at the last minute you got a call from a relative that he was going to visit and he only visits once a year and he doesn’t understand the obligation if you miss Mass to see him are you in mortal sin? Is that coercion? Maybe I need to understand coercion better. I apolligize for offending anyone. Or another example. I have heard in most or some abortion situations the woman is coerced into having an abortion. If this is the case would there be mortal sin? Would there be automatic excommunication?Don’t let this off-the-wall question color you views of the forum itself. This is not typical, from my experience.
And like another poster said, I find the question very creepy.
What is going through this posters head???
That’s what I should’ve done. My original thought was concerning abortion. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to offend anyone. The “I guess” is offensive. Honestly, your question is kind of creepy.
