You know, I could never get into drinking black coffee. I don’t put sugar in my coffee anymore, but I still put cream in it. don’t get me wrong, I do drink pretty strong coffee, most of the time I don’t put that much cream in it, but just enough to take the edge off. However, if I don’t have a choice I will drink black coffee. Like if I’m staying at my Saudi friend’s house, he doesn’t drink coffee with creamer, so I have to kind of bite the bullet on that one

I find black coffee is beginning to hurt my stomach, unfortunately.

That will happen to me with coffee, regardless of what I put in it, if I have more than 6 cups, although I still maintain there’s no such thing as too much coffee.

Am about to crack open my emergency stash… time to panic buy some java!

I did that before coronavirus was declared a pandemic, I was thinking ahead , and also it was like a $1.99

Stovetop espresso with a small shot of cream. That’s all I drink anymore (minus the cream during the Great Fast).

Some days, the only thing that gets me out of bed is the thought of that first sip of morning coffee. I can drink it black but prefer a little creamer and one tsp sugar…in my large mug. Just that little bit of sweetness, not enough to make my teeth hurt! 😅

Second mug in late afternoon to give me the ooomph to get through the rest of the day. Any more than that and I get a slight headache. If I don’t have any coffee, I really get a headache! Caffeine withdrawal is awful!

Agree, no such thing as too much. However, as it is a diuretic, I’ve recently discovered I DO need to increase my H20 intake a bit. I typically drink coffee from morning to bedtime, some flavored creamer but not much. Last week I found myself suffering the symptoms of dehydration. The only thing that made sense as a cause was coffee all day and not enough bottled water.
Solution: Maintain same coffee intake, add more water. Done.

Am curious as to how old people here were when you started drinking coffee, and was it black or otherwise? I personally started black coffee from my mama’s hands at age 12 or so. Was probably age 30 before I ever started adding anything regularly.

How about ya all?

I started drinking coffee in college. We would sit in the dining hall and have coffee after dinner to delay going back to the dorm to study. 😜

I have been drinking coffee since I was 5, I’m 6 ft tall, it did not stunt my growth, unless I was supposed to be taller. For reference, I’ll be 32 on Monday.
