You know, it just occurred to me that I was remiss about something I wrote to you. I had forgotten that you haven’t been granted a decree of nullity yet, with regard to your marriage. I shouldn’t have encouraged you to “date” your current girlfriend. Because you’re considered to be married in the eyes of the Church, you as a Catholic are in a sticky glitch situation right now. I’m not sure how to advise you about this, and I think this is something you should discuss with a priest.

I’m glad your former wife and you are on friendly terms – that is a blessing in itself. But please do what you can asap to get the process started, if you haven’t already.

Don’t allow my words to rob you of any peace and joy in the Lord today – keep giving thanks for what is good, and pray through all the hard stuff as you strive to walk with God.

I’ve already tripped a couple of times in my walk today … but God keeps helping me to stay on the path.
