Coincidence? I Think Not

I swear, with all that I am, and all that I profess to be that this is a true story. So, in thinking about what I can do for Lent, I decided that one of the things I would do prior to Lent was to learn the Rosary, in an effort to say it at least two times per day during the Lenten Season.

So, here I am, saying the Rosary (concentrating on the Joyful Mysteries), and completed my task at hand. Not even 15 seconds immediately after I prayed the Rosary, I got a call from a woman looking for a man with the same last name as I. I mentioned that she had the wrong number, and informed her that I was not related to a person by that name, and apologized for not being able to help her further. For some reason, she noted that this man and his wife just lost a baby, and she wanted to offer any sympathy/help she could offer. I told her that I actually just finished praying a Rosary for the first time, and noted how strange it was that she called me immediately after the Rosary recitation. She stated that it was strange. I offered her a prayer of hope and compassion, as she herself noted that she and her husband lost a baby as well.

I am still in awe wondering if the power of the Holy Spirit made such an occurrence happen at the exact moment that it did. 👍

Just thought I would share. God Bless you all! 😃

God does work in strange ways. Our human minds are so simple comparted to His that we cannot understand how He works and what all this stuff here on earth means. However, we will all know how it all fits together and why God does the things He does at the final judgement. It will be explained why things went the way they did and what the plan of God was as it unfolded. His ways are so much more above ours.

In the meantime, we have free will and choose to work for or against Him (sometimes working only for ourselves is against Him). This brings in the concept of what good works are. Many non-Catholics and a lot of Catholics don’t understand what this is. Some non-Catholics will say that good works don’t save and they are right. They will say that Jesus is their mediator between God and man and they are right. The confusion comes when they pit good works against salvation and not understanding how mediation works.

Our free will and redemption allows us our participation in God’s saving plan. God does not need our help but for our own benefit, He allows us to participate with Him in His saving actions. This is also our mediatorship. Christ is our mediator, but with His Grace, we can participate in His mediation with acts of charity, penance and prayer.

This I believe is what happened to you. Your prayer life may have been a part of Christ’s mediation with the woman who called on the phone. Your use of Graces to pray the rosary enabled the situation to happen the way it did for you to be some kind of mediatior.
