I went to see Coldplay and it was the first big concert I had been to in 30 years. I was a little reluctant. I new a few of their songs. I have the Viva La Vida album and liked it so I took my wife who loves them. It was spectacular. I heard new songs and came out of there happy. Just happy. Such a good mood about it, up lifting. It changed my whole attitude. Let’s just love each other. And of course, lasers, pyrotechnics, xylobands and all that. Us and 15,000 others. I heard they also did Soldier Field in Chicago. That’s like 60,000.

So I am discovering more Colplay for ther time being.
Clocks, Adventure of a Lfetime, Viva La Vida some of my favorites.

They also have some songs that remind me of 50’s music, Green Eyes, Amazing Day.

And the same concert recorded in L. A. Is on YouTube. “A Head Full of Dreams”.
👍

Very nice! The first time I properly listened to Coldplay was at the One Love Manchester concert - their cover of Don’t Look Back in Anger was amazing and then they played Viva La Vida, which I’ve loved for years and never realised it was them. I think they’re very good, and they sound the same live as they do recorded, I’ll be looking up that concert! 👍

So glad you enjoyed the Coldplay Concert!~ Thanks for noting it’s on Utube. I love their song Viva la Vida.

I’m so glad that you and your wife could go. 🙂

That’s what I like about the music too–I think that it’s very upbeat and uplifting. 🙂

(sarcasm on)

I thought Catholics couldn’t like “secular” music, especially not rock music, because it’s all Satanic. Has that changed, and I didn’t get the memo?

(sarcasm off)

Everything Brian Eno touches turns to gold…

(almost)

Their first four albums are some of my favorites. I’m still up in the air about Mylo Xyloto and the rest, though.

I like Coldplay. I’m not what you’d call a fan, but I won’t change the station if they’re on. They are listenable.

One thing about their sound, though. To me it’s almost like U2 + Sting = Coldplay.

We don’t often think of God in terms of “Fun”.:ballspin:
