How about objects of occult orgin that are valuable because of their age.

As for the Playboys. I had this issue and money was tight yet I burned them. My grandma keep coming out to ask what I was burning the barrel and I had to keep telling her i was taking care of it. IT was tough but knowing how porn can distort a persons mind it was a good move for me to do.

I don’t know that native American artifacts are considered occult. They may have use in native American religious ceremonies and be artifacts. That’s not occult. I see no problem with collecting Native American art – I collect Inuit art. I do not follow or know what their religion is, but I like their art.

I have no advice on the one Playboy magazine, so ask a priest and tell him about it.

The ouija board must be destroyed. Sorry, but true. It has to be destroyed, no matter what.

I’m going out on a limb here – the vintage Playboy which has become valuable may be collectible and have some value as “art” and American culture. That’s why you need to speak with a priest. If it’s that vintage, it can be valuable. I’m not certain about destroying something which, if that old, may be pretty tame. A first edition 1953 sold for $5,000 to a collector in 2002.

See if you can sell it to a woman collector. Yes, a few women collect vintage Playboy – but ask a priest if that’s permissible.

I never said the Native American art was evil.

You may object to my suggestion on the Playboy magazine as a part of Americana – which is why I suggest he talk to a priest. It’s value may be in thousands. The ouija board has no real value – certainly nothing of that sum and violates the First Commandment.

First, the only issue of Playboy that’s worth any kind of money is the first one (with Marilyn Monroe on the cover). I know this because I saw it on Pawn Stars last night. Never let it be said that television cannot be educational.

Should you happen to come across the Marilyn Monroe edition of Playboy you might consider selling it and giving the money to a charity.

Hmm, well everybody on here seems to have their views on this and mine are similar to some and not the same as others. As far as a vintage Playboy, I would sell it, as I don’t see the first Playboys as porn. Also is the issue of the stories in them are very good.

As far as the occult item, it would depend a lot on what it is. Having been in the occult for many years, I had to make a lot of calls about a lot of stuff I had. Not sure if others will see what I did as right or wrong, but I will only say what I did and why. My occult writings I burned. My occult books I shipped to a Collage Professor (Catholic) who specializes in the occult, as my collection was very large and worth $1000’s of dollars. Some of the occult items I used were just vintage items, so I sprinkled them with holy water and sold them on Ebay as antiques, as that is all they really are. Anything that had no value, I just trashed. The only items I still have are very powerful and very scary. I would like to get rid of them but will only do so when I find a priest who understands about the occult and knows how to destroy them safely.
