I saw an article that the Catholic church near Purdue is planning to build a student residence that will be faith-based living. I see that Purdue also has a local Protestant church that has a Christian-lifestyle apartment building.
This all sounds great to me, since I will have a daughter who will be a college freshman in a year.
I wonder if anyone knows of other colleges with faith-based housing choices? Specifically in the Midwest states (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois)? (Other than Catholic schools - - I know those can vary quite a bit in their dorms, and everything else, but I can easily find listing for Catholic colleges).
Thanks for any help!

Trine has faith based housing but I’m not sure if they have a Catholic one or if it’s just general Christian.

And not faith based housing, but I was incredibly impressed by the Newman center at Valparaiso (Lutheran school). Literally across the street from the dorms, open all the time, very active campus ministry with social justice component and regular student involved masses. What was especially nice was the local parish also totally embraced the students and were very supportive in many ways. My oldest graduated from there about ten years ago so you’d have to double check how things are now, but we were very pleased and very impressed. She went on to Chicago for grad school then came back here for work. Her college experiences left her even more strongly grounded in her faith which she continues to be very active in her new(er) parish here.

Wow - - thanks for your answer! Valpo is on our list that we are looking at, but I kind of forgot to look at Trine.

👍 You’re welcome. Only downside we found to Valpo is the classic phrase “lake effect snow” 😃 Went to visit once and the day was clear, the next morning I had 18" of “light snowfall” on top my car.
