We’ve just submitted the first two applications for my son to go to college.

Prayers appreciated that these, and the others we file, will be accepted, and that come spring, we’ll receive at least one aid package that we can afford.

Dear Father God,
You created this wonderful young man. I thank you for the gift of him. As he prepares to go out into the world next year, please guide us to apply to the right college(s) for him, and please assist us so that the one you know to be the right place for him to attend, will be affordable. Grant us wisdom and guidance and peace of mind as we embark on this college journey. Protect him from harm, inspire him to see your greatness, and let him learn so that he may put the intelligence you gave him into your service.

Amen.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Update:

We have received an acceptance letter from one college so far, accompanied by a generous scholarship and the opportunity to compete for a full scholarship at the college.
Lord,

I do not know if this is the right school, or if it will work out, but I thank you today for this sign of your goodness. A sign that all will be well. Continue to guide us through the process, grant my son healing from his current pneumonia, and help us to hold peace in our hearts, that You are in charge, and Thy will be done.

Amen.

Notification date is approaching - will know the 15th or 16th if he’s been accepted into the other colleges he applied to.

Still completely stressing this. Working to focus on peace and advent instead but it’s a struggle - I want so bad for things to work out for him.

Learning Christ
Teach me, my Lord,
