I just arrived at school on Friday and I’m having a great time! There’s a really awesome Catholic community on campus I’m getting involved in and my roommates are really cool (I have two of them). I can’t wait till classes start and I’m so thankful to God that I have this opportunity. :)🙂
 
Yeah, college is awesome. It would be so much better without classes, though.
 
Yay for collage, or university in my case! ^^ :extrahappy: I’m moving back into residence on Sept. 1. And I LOVE my classes, thanks. 😛 Most of the time, anyway… if I get enough sleep the night before and I’m awake enough to pay attention.

That’s awesome that you have a good catholic group on campus! There are a few Catholics at my university, but no official group. And the ones I have talked to, unfortunately, don’t seem too strong in their faith… sigh But I’m heading up a pro-life group this year, it should be interesting.
 
Stay involved with the Catholic campus group. A friend of ours is a new FOCUS Missionary - the statistics she has about Catholics leaving the Faith during college are staggering. Be a LIGHT!

That’s what did me in. I wish I had kept going to church or had gotten involved in the campus church somehow. As soon as I got out on my own, I was done with the church. It is very hard for kids who suddenly have all this freedom to stick with the church. It was a lot easier for me to sleep in on sunday morning and stay in bed than to drag my butt up and go to mass.

Thankfully I made my way back to the church even if it took 17 years.

College was lots of fun! There is so much going on in college.
I can’t believe its been three years since I graduated!!!

Just be careful to stick to your guns morally 🙂 You will meet people from many different walks of life and moral upbringings/viewpoints.

Also, do your best in your studies… that’s your path to Heaven right now 🙂

I converted while in University. I was already drawn to the faith but when I saw the “Pro Life” booth on campus headed by the Catholic Community, I was drawn in even more and I knew this was my place to join. I LOVED going to mass at lunchtime everyday. I wish I could do that now.

College/University were the best years of my life! I hope they are yours too!

Thanks you guys:) I’m so busy now, at times it is a tad overwhelming (and classes haven’t even started yet) but I love my school. I still can’t believe this is real.
