Colonialists acts on Eastern orthodox churches

I found all blame muslims for their doings from Prophet Muhammed to crusades on Christian church.
Now I need an account on what the colonialists did on Eastern and oriental orthodox churches beginning from 14th century up to world war I. I found Portuguese began their expeditions from 14th century. Then Dutch, French, British. What all things they had done on the churches that were present in Middle east and Asia. Or in other words how these eastern catholic churches were formed? Anybody who has a good and impartial knowledge, please answer.

I only have been reading most recently about Jesuits in Russia in 1920 and their attempt to create a catolic church from Orthodoxy. Mosinor Michel D’Hiberny a french from lyon was head of Pro Russia and papal eastern institute. He went twice to Moskow in 1926 and 1929 to urge “syphilig cnad corrupt” orthodox bishops to come over to Rome and create an “concordat” with marxist to create this. He urged a certain Bishop Barfolomei Peznov to become secretly Catolic and then to replace Patriarch Tikhon. He wrote book saying that Marxist government not so bad and that it could help Orthodox come over to Catolicism. His secretary a certain Aleksander Deibner was agent of NKVD. Perhaps because of this secrecy and treachery Mosignor D’Hiberny died in isolation possibly committing suicide, all his plans coming to nothing.
