Color of stole for Benediction

Should the color of a stole worn for Benediction be the liturgical color for the day, or should it match the cope? I ask because most parishes I know of don’t typically have copes in each color, but generally one that is white with gold accents.
 
At my seminary, we typically use the colour of the day as the colour for the vestments for Benediction. However, I suppose if there are no other colours available, white is not an inappropriate colour to use, especially in the adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
 
For benediction, a white stole and cope are used.

This is changed, however, if the Liturgy of the Hours is celebrated in the context of Adoration (as is done in many seminary and religious communities). In this case, the stole and cope would be in the color of the day.

The humeral veil is always white.
 
In my parish we used what ever the color of the day. But we have also copes and humeral of all of the liturgical colors
 
White is always acceptable as the liturgical color of the day.

It is true each season has a proper color, but white is always acceptable.

The cope and stole must always be of the same color when worn together; just as the chasuble and stole must match each other.

Therefore, if the only cope available is white, then the stole must be white.

That’s a throw back to the 1962 Missal. In the Extraordinary Form, the subdeacon wears a humeral veil over his tunicle while holding the paten.

I don’t have my books in front of me, so I can’t provide citations, but the Order for the Worship of the Eucharist Outside of Mass state that white vestments must be used for Adoration. This is tweaked if another liturgy (e.g.: LOTH) takes place at the same time, but since the humeral veil is not a part of LOTH or any liturgy besides adoration, it wouldn’t be affected.

The one thing that might allow a different covered humeral veil is when the Blessed Sacrament is transferred during Holy Week.
