Hi all! I’ve read these forums off & on for years, and I’ve always been impressed by the kindness of the people here. I’m hoping for some advice.
I was born & raised Catholic–I’m 26 now–and began struggling over the last few years, mainly as a result of my anxiety disorder, for which I am being medically treated. I was extremely anxious about being in a state of grace, what if I fell, would I ever be able to maintain it. This all likely sounds very run of the mill, but it was destroying my life. I converted to Lutheranism in January 2013, after a lengthy process of deliberation.
However, it just doesn’t feel right, even now. I feel very far from God and my depression and anxiety haven’t gotten better. I’m considering perhaps returning to Catholicism, and it feels like a very strong pull, but I feel so confused and lost about this. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
