Coming closer to Angels

How do we cultivate closer relationships with angels as fellow servants of God? Also, I heard that our guardian angels can remind us of things, tell other angels things for us, pray for us, and (obviously) protect us. Is this true? How did this idea develop?

Read “Send Me Your Gardian Angel”…it’s about Padre Pio…St. Pio and his gardian angel. My wife read it and told me about it…she read some of it to me… I’ve been reading other stuff. But this sounds like a must read.
