I was reading that in my diocese that they were going to start airing the Catholics Come Home commericals. I LOVE THEM and feel they are very powerful!

The website is great to. What do you all think?

I love these videos and I can’t believe how sucessful they are! When I ever feel if I want a ‘change’ I remember my Catholic roots and I never want to leave. There is nothing better than the Catholic church. I know most will not feel this way but these testimonies say it all. The commericals remind me of the Mormon ones that air only these tell of a true gospel and are just beautiful.

I encurrage you all to cherck out the website and links

I love these beautiful videos. I’ve not seen them here, though.
What diocese do you belong to

ME TOO! I love “Epic”. I really think we need more commercials like that. I wonder what it takes to get it shown in the area. But I’m guessing dioceses like DC, NYC, Boston, etc. would be more difficult/expensive to do.

Matthew 23:5 MKJV
(5) But they do all their works in order to be seen of men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.

I’m sorry that I cannot share your opinion. I was Catholic for many many years and I never once felt at home. I felt like I was watching an act from a vast audience. I’m not so sure that it wasn’t a proper perspective.

Matthew 23:5 MKJV
Mat 23:1-2 Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples,
saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses seat:

Which did you have an issue with, scribes or Pharisees? It couldn’t be the works in the videos since many of the works shown in the video are not strapped on for public view like phylacteries. The whole point of the first video is that there are a lot of good works that people don’t see or don’t consider, which is why they are mentioned. Hardly food for metaphorical phylacteries.

Do you believe that this verse refers to evangelization? As this is what these videos are.

That is sad. We hope that some day you take another look at the Catholic Church, as these videos are intended for you. I have been Catholic forever, and have felt at home no matter where I find a parish.

After becoming a devout Anglican and a core member of my parish, I know that I am home after all these years. I know God in the Eucharist and I better understand how it is to meet him there on Sunday at the communion rail now.
