Commentary on the Tridentine Latin Mass

I’m looking for a text commentary on the Tridentine Latin Mass, i.e., one that has the text of the EF, followed by some words by a scholar that explains the history, purpose and meaning of everything said and spoken.

Might be too much to ask, but God bless anyway.

I would highly recommend “The Mass: A Study of the Roman Liturgy” by Fr. Adrian Fortescue

That last one is the most complete and thorough that I have found… more than 400 pages on the actual rite of the Mass itself!
