I agree with you 100%. Vocations are very important so why not have them do somthing that they can relate to. Prayer groups, blessed imelda societies, altar linens etc. But please don’t dress them up like mini-priests. For every girl on the altar is one less boy and every one less boy is a chance of snuffing out a vocation to the priesthood.
Considering your age, your comments, and your photograph I assuming that you are discerning the priesthood! Otherwise I do not see why you are wearing clerical garb and serving at Mass.

If you saw a picture of a boy wearing nun’s clothes, would you also describe him as being “properly dressed”
Properly dressed would depend on the culture. No if we are talking United States, present day.
I’m curious: In which culture, time, et cetera, would a boy dressed as a nun be a “properly dressed” boy?

The girls are wearing cassocks and surplices. They should not be- an alb is the only appropriate vestment for altar girls- one could even argue whether altar girls are appropriate. I don’t like that there is only one boy. I would much rather see a picture of altar **boys **in cassocks and surplices, with the priest vested for Mass.

Parents, if you have sons, please encourage them to serve on the altar.
