I saw that show, it was awesome! The Protestant minister seemed like a really good guy, but Fr. John Riccardo was, well, awesome! People have got to hear his story, and its best to hear it from his lips. Best show I’ve ever seen on TBN!

I 100% agree. At first I was skeptical and looking for him to be a liberal catholic priest and say things on the verge of non-catholic teaching, but he was extremely faithful to the teaching of the church, and i nearly wept…really wept when we masterfully spoke about the Eucharist. I hope they re-air the program.
 
I’ve had the pleasure of attending the churches of both these pastors, and they’re both very dedicated men of God, and neither one of them compromised their core beliefs to avoid offending the other side. The program was one of the best examples of the ecumencial spirit I’ve ever seen.

Fr. Riccardo is a featured presenter on our local Catholic radio station, and he’s just an amazing teacher. And Pastor Andrews is the founder of the most successful Protestant megachurch in suburban Detroit.

A Common Ground presentation at Kensington (pastored by Andrews) was responsible for the conversion of one of my closest friends to Catholicism.
 
We are all sisters and brothers in Christ!

We must reach out to each other and learn from each other, without compromising the Truth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was the witness of many protestant brothers in Jesus and the strength of my Catholic sisters and brothers that brought me home to the Catholic Church after 30 years of drifting aimlessly into evil’s grasp!

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!
