If you go to a non catholic church service, (with a friend for example) on Sunday or Saturday night, you haven’t fulfilled your obligation and still need to go to mass.

Do not receive communion in another church.

During the sign of peace, stay in your area instead of walking to where other people are located.

Try not to roll your eyes too hard when you hear a non catholic misinterpret the bible. It could cause eye strain.

Do not forget about holy days of obligation. The next one is Wednesday I think.

Primarily attend, and support your local parish with your talents, including gifts of money, instead of going to a parish farther away because you like the music, the priest, etc.

Too many people ā€œfall in lineā€ so to speak and receive the body of Christ when they haven’t done a thorough examination of conscience. I swear the extent of the examination of conscience many people do is this: ā€œHave I killed anyone this week? Nope! I’m good.ā€

Fasting before receiving communion also includes chewing gum.

Pray daily.

Perform works of mercy.
