Commons-Christian Prayer

Hello:

I bought Christian Prayer a few weeks ago. I have been following it by using the site at St. Francis de Sales. It has been working well.

I have one question. When do I pray the Common of section? Meaning the Common of the doctors, apostles…

I might just be jumping the gun and the time has not come up yet.

Others may be more helpful to you with an actual website that may give you the information. I am using “Daily Prayer from The Divine Office” which is a much shorter version than the actual Divine Office but drawn from it and containing the various Commons as well. In my book it states on the actual feastday (as a heading entry in red) what Common is to be used for each particular feast.
I do try to put the Common to be used into the Divine Office entry in the “Daily Liturgy and Prayer” thread for the month…but sometimes I forget - I will renew efforts to try to not forget in future!!! I hope others may be more helpful to you…God’s rich blessings this Sacred Tridium…Barb
