@tryingtounderstand The acts of adultery after Juan has moved
in w/ Your sister is like sins committed by addicts, they become
venial after a while. The only thing Juan can do now is to pray
for contrition for his leaving his wife and sleeping w/ other women
AND for having children by your sister. He must then REPENT and
CONFESS them to his priest, if he is a Church-goer and wants to
be back IN the Fold and partake of communion. He must also
refrain from ANY sexual activity w/ ANYONE and until his relat-
ionship w/ his former wife is settled, he must make amends by
supporting his ex-wife’s children AS WELL AS your sister’s
children and apologize to ALL who have been hurt by his actions.

Regardless of the ethnicity of the person, regardless of the ability/disability, human beings sin.

A child is a miracle and a blessing regardless of the sins or flaws of his parents. He is baptized, confirmed, receives the Eucharist, goes to confession, amends his life and lives his life in a way that pleases God. He will sin, repent, go to confession and continue on toward heaven.

All of the adults involved, same thing. They sin, they repent and go to confession (we pray) and they amend their lives and journey on toward heaven.
