Is it pemissible for some EMHC’s (or the priest) to go to the back of the church to distribute communion (even if there is room near the sanctuary) if the priest thinks it will help with ‘traffic flow’?
This is a common practice in many larger parishes…There are “statons” throughout the church to help the flow.Is it pemissible for some EMHC’s (or the priest) to go to the back of the church to distribute communion (even if there is room near the sanctuary) if the priest thinks it will help with ‘traffic flow’?
Our church at the moment, (praying to break ground on a new one soon), is divided into sections by accordian walls. When we open the back ones, one of the Priests or Deacons will go there to distribute. We actually kneel in the front and some will kneel back there even though there is no kneeler. Is it pemissible for some EMHC’s (or the priest) to go to the back of the church to distribute communion (even if there is room near the sanctuary) if the priest thinks it will help with ‘traffic flow’?
