Hello.

Today during communion the Host stuck to the roof of my mouth and I kept thinking about the incident in St. Faustina’s diary where she received 2 hosts she thought was by mistake but where Jesus later revealed to her that he’d rather be received twice by her than by the person before her.

I sort of know this is goofy thinking, but is God trying to tell me that I’m one of the more difficult ones in His fold and that it’s hard for Him to get through to me?

Any thoughts?

Thanks for listening.

This is too trivial to be of any importance. It’s not the kind of thing one should build anything on.

Hope that helps

This has been happening to me since my youth and I’m now approaching retirement age and I’ve never given it a second thought.

However, I am interested in that passage from St. Faustina’s diary that you mentioned. I read it once and have been trying to find it again for a while now. Can you provide that passage?

This used to happen to me all the time before I started to chew the host. In fact, it happened just two weeks ago when it sort of just got up to the roof of my mouth before I could chew it. It’s like a suction when it gets up there and all you can do it wait for it to melt…better than trying to scrape it off with your tongue.

Sounds like you have “dry mouth” which is caused by certain prescriptions and also mouthwash.

You want the truth?

My answer is I don’t have the first clue. Maybe he was an early riser and liked to pack in the morning. And maybe he didn’t have any friends. I’m an educated man, but I’m afraid I can’t speak intelligently about the travel habits of William Santiago. What I do know is that he was set to leave the base at 0600. Now, are these the questions I was really called here to answer? Phone calls and foot lockers? Please tell me that you have something more, Lieutenant. These two Marines are on trial for their lives. Please tell me their lawyer hasn’t pinned their hopes to a phone bill.

I don`t know, I have had the Host stick to the roof of my mouth many times:shrug:

I think it’s just a simple case of the Inside of Your Mouth Being Dry Due to Purely Natural Causes. I wouldn’t read anything supernatural or preternatural into it. This happens to me from time to time, especially if I’ve taken my allergy meds that morning.

:rotfl::rotfl:

I got through the first two sentences and knew exactly where that quote came from!

I think God’s trying to tell you not to be afraid to chew the Host, if He’s saying anything.

And even if St. Faustina had received a mouthful of hosts, she still received Christ only ONCE.

Yes, I think this very goofy thinking on your part.
