I prefer not to receive communion while standing and I am generally unwilling to receive in the hand. I feel that kneeling and receiving on the tongue is much more reverent. When traveling, I typically receive on the tongue, standing. A few minutes ago, I was looking through the GIRM and found the following quote:

This seems to very clearly discourage the practice of receiving while kneeling. Should I be standing when I receive? Can you guys shed some light on this?*“The norm for reception of Holy Communion in the dioceses of the United States is standing. Communicants should not be denied Holy Communion because they kneel. Rather, such instances should be addressed pastorally, by providing the faithful with proper catechesis on the reasons for this norm.” * (#161)
