I challenge you to find anything in Catholic doctrine or dogma that states the sacred species is BOTH bread and the Body of Christ. These quotes you use here are stating the opposite.

Please try to know what a poster is saying before you attempt to correct him/her. He/she may know more than you think.:(
Deacon, I don’t think that Vico was attempting to claim what you think he\she is claiming.

I read that post as in SUPPORT of Church teaching.

You may be correct.

Vico, if I misunderstood your motive or point, I do apologize!

I was providing an answer to your question, showing that both do not exist. There is no way I can know more precisely what you mean from one post. The bread and wine that are transubstantiated, continue to signify the goodness of creation, the fruit of the earth and of the vine, as appearances of bread and wine. The signs of bread and wine

1333
At the heart of the Eucharistic celebration are the bread and wine that, by the words of Christ and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, become Christ’s Body and Blood. Faithful to the Lord’s command the Church continues to do, in his memory and until his glorious return, what he did on the eve of his Passion: “He took bread. . . .” “He took the cup filled with wine. . . .” The signs of bread and wine become, in a way surpassing understanding, the Body and Blood of Christ; they continue also to signify the goodness of creation. Thus in the Offertory we give thanks to the Creator for bread and wine,154 fruit of the “work of human hands,” but above all as “fruit of the earth” and “of the vine” - gifts of the Creator. The Church sees in the gesture of the king-priest Melchizedek, who “brought out bread and wine,” a prefiguring of her own offering.155

But my question was for one poster, not you or anyone else. It was a direct request for Neofight to clear his/her point. The post in question in the way it was stated left open the idea that the bread remains bread after consecration, this is not so. The accidents and the appearance as a sign do, but the species is now completely transformed into the B & B of Christ.

Again, please look at the conversation in context before you begin teaching. And, unless you can answer for Neofight I think our discussion has run its course.
