As a Catholic can you go to communion in a United Methodist Church? If you are there for a wedding.

No. The United Methodist Church does not have validly ordained ministers and therefore cannot validly confect the Eucharist. Their communion services are simply symbols of Christ, not Christ Himself. Therefore, to participate in their communion would be to show solidarity with their beliefs instead of those of the Catholic Faith. As a Catholic can you go to communion in a United Methodist Church? Even in such a case where Catholic Mass were unavailable, it would require grave reason to receive a sacrament from the Orthodox Church. If you cannot make it to Mass because none is available, you are already excused from the Sunday obligation and therefore do not need to seek an alternate liturgy.Regardless of whether or not you want to attend communion at a non-Catholic service, you are not Canonically permitted, with the exception of Orthodox Services if you are unable to get to a Catholic Mass.
