Companies like Microsoft, Adobe and Converse are big donors to planned parenthood. Does this mean I should not do business with them and get rid of their products? I have a pair of converse shoes that I now regret.

You already have them, so it’s too late to do anything about it now. I would just avoid doing business with them in the future. New Balance is my preferred shoe company, but I’m not sure what causes they support.

I suppose it all depends on the conditions involved.

I work for a company that matches all charitable giving. If an employee donates to a registered non-profit, the company matches each dollar, up to $1000.

That means that my company matches my donations to my diocesan appeals and the work I do in Tanzania. . I imagine that there could well be an employee that gives to PP. In which case, my company would match it and show up on that list as well.

So how would you treat a company like that?

I guess the larger question really is, can I avoid buying products from companies you do things I don’t support? The answer is pretty much no in my experience. To use Microsoft as an example, it’s kind of hard to have a computer that doesn’t use it. Sure, you could use a Mac…but I’m pretty sure Apple is a supporter of PP too. You could go to open source like Linux…but then how many of you here are even aware of Linux much less using it?

Remote material co-operation in sin explains such scenarios I believe

If I buy stock, I won’t buy stock in anything to do w that.
Businesses, if you know, don’t get involved.
But complete scrutiny about this is hard to navigate.
Try but forgive yourself if you failed in some areas.
Lord, guide us to join companies who are PROLIFE. Guide us in our VOTING.
Than You, Jesus
In Your name.
Amen

“Companies that give money indirectly to planned parenthood through third parties”
What does that mean?

So yeah I’m going to have to replace some stuff I owned by such companies when I can.

OTOH, if you supported these companies because they supported PP, you’d be running into morally shaky ground.
