Show me please… I want to learn.

“The Books were sealed Ignatius, no one has authority to attribute anything unto Christ without the Father’s explicit and direct approval”.

We can start with this one Servant19

What is your understanding then of Daniel 12:4 (among others, but let’s start with that one)?

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

St. Jerome – St. John the Baptist is called Elijah, not in accordance with foolish philosophers and certain heretics who introduce the topic of metemphychosis (transmigration of souls), but because, according to other evidence of the gospel, he came in the spirit and goodness of Elijah and had either the same grace or power of the Holy Spirit. The austerity of their life and firm resolve were equally strong in Elijah and John. Both lived in the desert. The former girded himself with a belt of skins, and the latter had a similar belt. The former was forced to flee because he accused Ahab and Jezebel of impiety in their lives. John was beheaded because he accused Herod and Herodias of unlawful marriage. There are those who think therefore that John is called Elijah because, just as Elijah would lead the way in the second coming of our Lord (according to Malachi) and would announce that the judge was coming, so John acted at the first coming. And because each was a messenger, either of the first or second coming of the Lord. (Commentary on Matthew 2.11.15)
St. Jerome said some wonderful things Techno.

It is CRITICAL For you to read and read and read and re-read again what he states above, for it will clarify for you the nature of RETURN…

…please note how the Bab announced, and lead the way in the second coming of our Lord.

How do you pray to St. Jerome?

MJ

So you pray direct to him? And you don’t ask others to pray for you right?

MJ
Yes I pray to Him. The prayers I recite say “O Lord…” “O God…” etc etc but I’m thinking of Baha’u’llah when I say the prayer.

I always ask people to pray for me. WCs niece is going to the Baha’i pilgrimage soon, in Haifa, Israel, and she is going to pray for me there. What a blessing!

Why should you ask them to pray for you? You go direct is that not good enough?

I wish I could pray every moment of every day. Our lives on this earthly plain is not long enough to worship our Lord, such is our gratefulness for what gifts He has given us. I will eternally be thankful to Him. The more people I can get to pray for me on my behalf, direct to Him, the better.

So there is no such thing as pray at all times?

We are asked to be in a constant state of prayer yes, through our words, deeds, and thoughts, however, we, like all people can be distracted by our shortcomings as humans. We pray for forgiveness, but mostly, I, personally pray for thanksgiving to my Lord, and a lifetime of “praying at all times” is not sufficient for the thanks I have for Him.

I therefore ask others to thank Him too, on my behalf 🙂

Who asked that we must be in a constant state of prayers?

God made humans how can you say we are distracted by shortcomings as humans?

I’ve never heard this. To ask someone to thank God on their behalf. You can thank God yes,but asking someone else to thank God for you? Please explain this.

Prayers assured for you and all Servant. Seems prayers are answered and we will meet on this earthly plain 👍

The power of prayer is amazing, it is the elixer of life, such a bounty and yes we are often distracted from it.

God bless all and regards Tony

Lots of wonderful prayers for is all!

O Thou kind Lord! Thou hast created all humanity from the same stock. Thou hast decreed that all shall belong to the same household. In Thy Holy Presence they are all Thy servants, and all mankind are sheltered beneath Thy Tabernacle; all have gathered together at Thy Table of Bounty; all are illumined through the light of Thy Providence.

O God! Thou art kind to all, Thou hast provided for all, dost shelter all, conferrest life upon all. Thou hast endowed each and all with talents and faculties, and all are submerged in the Ocean of Thy Mercy.

O Thou kind Lord! Unite all. Let the religions agree and make the nations one, so that they may see each other as one family and the whole earth as one home. May they all live together in perfect harmony.

O God! Raise aloft the banner of the oneness of mankind.

O God! Establish the Most Great Peace.

Cement Thou, O God, the hearts together.

O Thou kind Father, God! Gladden our hearts through the fragrance of Thy love. Brighten our eyes through the Light of Thy Guidance. Delight our ears with the melody of Thy Word, and shelter us all in the Stronghold of Thy Providence.

Thou art the Mighty and Powerful, Thou art the Forgiving and Thou art the One Who overlooketh the shortcomings of all mankind.

So, before ‘Abdu’l-Bahá , you didn’t know one had to pray at all times?

Yes praying at all times is a spiritual Truth. Being in a state of reverence etc etc

“This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future” - Baha’u’llah

Spiritual Truths don’t change Martin 🙂

We are distracted by the shortcomings IMPOSED on us by a “fallen society” Martin. Baha’u’llah has come to save us from this fallen society, full of man made vain imaginings and idle fancies.

I am eternally grateful to Baha’u’llah for EVERYTHING I revere in my life and everything that is sacred. I see the world with the eyes of God, not with the eyes of man.

For this I am thankful, and if a person can thank God in the Holy Land for me, then I will jump at the opportunity.

Do you not pray for the dead, or pray for others when they are sick, or for the poor and needy?

If you are sick do you not ask others to pray for you?

Still you depend on Bahaullah to tell you.
