Servant, You’re in CAF and if you looked up towards the upper left hand corner you’ll see " To explain & Defend the faith" .
What I’ve heard from the Baha’i was home we’re in error etc etc etc. I’m sorry but your recruitment won’t work on me
I’m not here to recruit anyone. That’s God’s job. My job is to eliminate ignorance and error about the Baha’i Faith, and there’s been plenty of that.

During the job of explaining away ignorance and error and sometimes straight out prejudice, we have not once called Catholics evil, or followers of evil or followers of demons. Not once.

Defending the Catholic Faith is one thing, feel free to explain and defend, but patronising and oppressing others with cruel words is an extreme other thing.

.

My first effort was to consort in a spirit of friendliness with my beloved Catholic friends.

I got called a follower of a demon.
In another thread I told you go to the Mod and explain your grievances. Thus You could have simply quoted the thread that called you that. Did you?
How could I feel comfortable going to the home of people who believe this in me? This is SACRED, not some joke where speculations of evil can be flung around like cake patty. I am a human being who wants to be loved and to love, just like you.
See above.

Many a post has been reported Martin. I feel sorry for Eric, he has a tough job. It would be a lot easier if people explained Catholicism respectfully, rather than posts like this:
It’s not going to work Servant, Bahaism is just too bizarre. Now with the internet Bahaism is being exposed, in the olden days people were ignorant and could be duped, but not anymore, the truth is finally coming out 😉

Starting with Bahai faith being the fulfillment of Catholicism?

No one is oppressing you. The Mods really do a fantastic job here. Just alert them to it.

Can you at least see why I am concerned about going to RCIA?

Why report me instead of seeking to understand?

.

Worldcitizen, have you nothing to say when I said you were wrong about the Mass?

MJ
Only that I understand those Words in the Bible as symbolical not literal which I believe was never intended by Jesus.

So you apply the verses in the Bible for mass literally and others say it’s symbolical so it’s just that we understand it differently. For you, your understanding is right and for me my understanding is right.

So to ourselves we are both right and nobody is wrong.

No I don’t see the concern. Your mention of irritating the teachers was before any complaint from you that you were demonized.

It is never Bible first when Mass and breaking of bread was practiced. It was after it was practiced the Bible scripture was put to paper (papyrus).

We all know too well how good the Catholics here are to the Baha’is. Imagine if this thread were posted in Iran!!!

We would all be on death row by now!!!

I love coming here to experience the fellowship with another Faith which is a Baha’i Teaching. Of course we won’t agree on everything but to me establishing good relations and friendships and having harmony and unity is most important above everything else.
**
So I apologise if I I have ever offended anyone here as I want to keep coming and be friends. And I love th discussions and the difficult questions. They make me think and use my intelligence.**
**
Everyone here Joey, Martin, and all of you dear Catholics I dedicate this day of my fast to you for giving us the PRIVILEGE not right of coming here to have wonderful fellowship and discussion.
**
I’ve always been taken aback by the warm heartedness of the Catholics on this forum.

You wouldn’t believe the names I get called on other forums. They mock and insult me verging on abuse. But here it’s loving and very tolerant and very understanding.

God bless everyone!!

Only 6 days more to fast.

Very disappointing news. My niece is going on pilgrimage to Israel but because of the unstable situation in Jerusalem won’t be able to go to the Christian Holy Places. It’s so silly over there. They all believe in one God yet carry on like small children

Hello Mr Tony,

Can explain the events described on this page? (the website is same as you often link to):

bahai-library.com/books/bahaism/bahaism10.html

Thanks
The above was posted yesterday and so a response is warranted here… The author William McElwee Miller was a Presbyterian missionary to Persia who relied mostly on the detractors of the Baha’i Faith to cobble together a book that is still in print. Miller was not a scholar or historian but essentially prejudiced against the Faith… the book is cited in the Baha’i academic forum.

For more info. on Miller see

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_McElwee_Miller

There were at least two incidents where misguided followers took into their own hands violent acts which were no way authorized or condoned by Baha’u’llah or anyone near His immediate followers.

In one case a few Babis attempted to assassinate the Shah around 1853 which brought down a horrible persecution of the Babis and the imprisonment and subsequent exile of Baha’u’llah from Persia.

The Ottoman authorities at the behest of the Persian ambassador later agreed to move Baha’u’llah to lifetime imprisonment in the prison fortress of Akka this around 1868. The Ottomans ordered followers of Mirza Yahya to report to them all pilgrims who came to Akka and movements of the Baha’is… this was widely known among the followers of Baha’u’llah. Eventually these reporters were slain… An inquiry occurred and Baha’u’llah was found not guilty of authorizing this action.

Please catholic brothers and sisters can you not see the Baha’i are not here to listen to ANYTHING we have to say, they are only here to promote their doctrine & nothing else. Anything we say, prove or shoot down no many times we say it, they don’t care. I’m really over this Baha’i stuff, it’s going around in circles & nowhere. Baha’i please understand we are Catholic & have the full truth. Nothing you say can change this.

.

No one will ever halt the momentum towards the unification of the human race set in motion by the Bahais.

No one needs to be a Baha’i to fulfill this promise made by God, and make a contribution towards this Divine Plan.

“The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens” will happen with or without any Catholic or Muslim or atheist. What we contribute towards its realisation is what will be the adornment of our souls which we gift to our Creator when we return to Him.

God bless all on your journey and your expression of free will, and may no one look back upon their lives regretting missed opportunities.

I live my life, personally, with the following words in each breath I take:

“Seize thy chance for it will come to thee no more” - Baha’u’llah

❤️

I would not want to change your full Truth.

That is not why I post here.

I will listen to any Love and Unity you shed, that is why we are here and this is what we will promote.

Regards Tony

How about posting some unique parables from Baha’u’llah that nobody has ever heard.

world citizen,

thank you for this. *** "It’s a message of love from God telling us He wants us all to love each other and be like a family. The idea of one human family created by one God really attracted me a lot. Being able to embrace all humanity as brothers and sisters is awesome. No feelings of aloofness from any Faith or an aetheist. Being able to see the Face of God in everyone not just my religion really affecred my soul because I believe in oneness. "***

i see clearly that you are one bahai who seeks to combine love and reason. i would like to make a comment about the above and it is not meant to dismiss you or your belief but maybe more like to challenge them.

my comment is that God already provided this doctrine (belief(?), teaching(?)) in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. from that perspective, it is reasonable to believe that both bab and bahaullah, in so far as they taught the above (i admit i am not competent to address what the bab and bahaullah taugtht but trust that you are) my reason tells me that they received that particular through their encounter (however brief or incomplete that encounter) with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

in this sense, that bab and bahaullah are confirming some (only some because of the limit of their knowledge about the Gospel) of what Jesus taught. in doing this, i agree that they are serving almighty God and despite their errors served a divine purpose. to me, that divine purpose is to introduce people, who otherwise might never have encountered IT (by IT i mean God’s great love), to God’s great love.

you yourself are, for me, a sign of how God uses even error to bring about good. you clearly have progressed in overcoming or rising above this fallen world’s resistance to God’s love.

How about posting some unique parables from Baha’u’llah that nobody has ever heard.
“O CHILDREN OF THE DIVINE AND INVISIBLE ESSENCE! Ye shall be hindered from loving Me and souls shall be perturbed as they make mention of Me. For minds cannot grasp Me nor hearts contain Me”.

“O SON OF MAN! My eternity is My creation, I have created it for thee. Make it the garment of thy temple. My unity is My handiwork; I have wrought it for thee; clothe thyself therewith, that thou mayest be to all eternity the revelation of My everlasting being”.

A whole book of them here - reference.bahai.org/en/t/b/HW/index.html
