Hi Everyone,

I thought to make this section because comparative religious questions keep being asked on forums causing them to go off topic so anyone with a comparative religious question can discuss it here out of respect & courtesy for posters of other threads who want to only discuss a certain topic so this is a general discussion thread. Thank you.

I suggest this go to a part 1 then 2 etc so there is a thread to always discuss general religious stuff.

The God answer is not so simple and needs more clarification but basically yes we do not believe Christ is the essence of essence of God but God’s Perfect Manifestation.
  1. Yes Jesus was not Almighty God Himself ‘in essence’ is our belief
  2. He revealed God’s Revelation but can be prayed to and revered
  3. The disciples did the right thing. I myself would throw myself at the feet of Jesus if I met Him. Why not? Didn’t Jesus say to only to worship God in spirit not flesh??
  4. I believe in the spiritual resurrection of Jesus. That is, when He died there was uncertainty He was from God then after the disciples experiencied visions and dreams they realised He was not just an ordinary man and it took them 3 days to realise that. So I agree just understand it differently.
5.Yes I accept Jesus is the Son of God but spiritual not physical son. God never got married or had children.

6.Jesus said He was one with the Father but that isn’t equivalent to saying ‘I am God’ Jesus also prayed that we would be all one with the Father and Him.
  1. Jesus was the Son of God and a Prophet and the Bread of Life and had so many titles. They are all right and don’t contradict each other. He said He was a prophet as well as the Son of man. So He was not a hoax or a false prophet but true.
8 I don’t remember you asking me about Muhammad and Ali in the Book of revelation. Maybe I missed the email in my inbox. Sorry Muhammad and Ali are there but which Ali question are you referring to?

There are even more prophecies about Ali and how Islam was destroyed by the Umayyands in the Book of Revelation and if you understand this you will,be amazed just how the Bible so accurately foretold these events and is not just a Book as many people think.

Which Ali question did you ask?

All these interpretations I find prove the authority of the Bible as how could the Bible miss an event like Islam? It’s impossible that the Bible missed Islam just people haven’t seen it yet because they haven’t realised that the Books have been unsealed.

I don’t have a name for who, other than the Word, or First Mind, or First Emanation, or Primal Will.

It is the same Person as the one who said this 1000 years earlier:

“When righteousness is weak and faints, and unrighteousness exalts in pride, then **My Spirit **arises on earth. For the salvation of those who are good, and the destruction of evil in men, I come to this earth, from Age to Age”

The “I” in this quote is the same as the “I” in your quote from Revelation.

Isn’t it clear to you its talking about Christ’s Second Coming and to purify our heart so that it will recognise Christ when He comes?

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Priesthood and Reconciliation. These are Sacraments if followed according to the Spirit is one way to prepare for Christ’s Second coming, where he will separate the Sheep and the Goats.

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. The choice is yours.

Yes preparation is essential, ones heart must be free from any impediment that would veil our acceptance of our Lord.

Any Pride we hold must be subdued 100%, because pride is one of the biggest veils.

We must all fear our own selves, that we have not become pawns of the material world and of popular deception.

These times are not easy for a reason.

When God formed Abraham in the womb did he also know him as… Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Báb and Bahá’u’lláh ?

You ask if God knew 🤷

The better question is when did all of mankind receive the capacity to understand this fully. The capacity for all of us to grasp this truth was released 2 hours and 11 minutes after sunset on May the 23rd 1844.

This Closed the Prophetic cycle to which Muhammad was the seal of the Prophets as per the 1260 years of Revelation.

Techno2000, I know your question was addressed to the Bahais, but let me try to answer it in Hindu terms.

Abraham, Krishna, Rama, Zoroaster, Buddha, Confucius, Jesus are distinct human beings and are in no way related to each other. However during their life on earth, the Second Person of the Trinity (or the Son) descended into them making them ‘Manifestations’ or ‘Sons of God’ or Avatars. So they are definitely not the same but they are similar. Although they are all Manifestations of God, they are distinct persons.

Actually, I don’t believe that Bab and Bahaullah are Manifestations of God.

The Bab especially was very much a flawed person - I believe he actually decreed once that all books , except his own, should be burnt.

the sources you choose to read will help, or not help with this. 😉 I have studied most of the so called issues, they are all adequately explained IMHO.

I now have no time for the negative sites as they just reflect the same retold rejections that have been attributed to all the Manifestations of the Past. 🤷
