Not within their current Frame of Reference, but the chance to accept the new Covernant has been given. We have a lifetime to decide how what we currently believe has a wider meaning.

Regards Tony
You’re not going to get a disagreement that God has used Covenants over time. But there is a reason why the NT is not called the ‘next’ Testament.

As the fulfillment of the OT, that would imply the information is complete or ‘full’.

I’m confused by ‘wider meaning’, I think God is pretty straight forward. He’s opened the door for us to have a relationship with Him through washing ourselves in water and spirit. Then how to build that relationship in how we treat others made in His image and likeness. As He is in all, regardless if any are in Him.

Take care,

Mike

The error is not the Word, it is how we have interpreted it.

The fault has been places upon the Shoulders of the Divines and those in power. This is noted in the Book of Certitude.

So it is a Yes.

Luke 18:11-14
The Pharisee stood there and said this prayer to himself, “I thank you, God, that I am not grasping, unjust, adulterous like everyone else, and particularly that I am not like this tax collector here.
I fast twice a week; I pay tithes on all I get.”
The tax collector stood some distance away, not daring even to raise his eyes to heaven; but he beat his breast and said, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.”
This man, I tell you, went home again justified; the other did not. For everyone who raises himself up will be humbled, but anyone who humbles himself will be raised

Think about it

Jesus was far from humble before the Pharisees…

Neither is Baha’u’llah …

Firstly you can’t be eating popcorn for it, and secondly you go to the Source if you sincerely want it. If you want to pick holes, then you are not sincere.

If you struggle with the language and terminologies, here is a study guide.

See you in a month?

Gabriel: The highest of all the angels, the Holy Spirit. It is his duty to write down the decrees of God; through him the Qur’án was revealed to Muhammad.

Not the highest angel or Holy Spirit and no mention of birth of Jesus, I see your religion is all about Islam :hmmm:

How could you possibly say that after all the references to Christianity we have posted for you from our Writings???

You are a baffling, baffling and unique, wonderful soul Techno 🙂

Baha’u’llah however, was a descendant of Jesse, the Father of David and so these verses apply word for word to Him alone. Both the Bab and Baha’u’llah were also descendants of Abraham.
Wheres the lineage that proves this?

Today I wish to pay tribute to HM Queen Marie of Romania. She was the first crowned head to become a Bahá’í. Originally the Princess Marie of Edinburgh, she was grand-daughter to Queen Victoria, the only ruler among those addressed by Bahá’u’lláh who did not give a wholly negative response to His message.

These are her words which were published in over 200 newspapers at the time. I dedicate this day of the Fast to her blessed memory and know that she rejoices above.

QUEEN MARIE OF ROMANIA

*It is a wondrous Message that Bahá’u’lláh and his son ‘Abdu’l-Bahá have given us. They have not set it up aggressively, knowing that the germ of eternal truth which lies at its core cannot but take root and spread.

There is only one great verity in it: Love, the mainspring of every energy, tolerance toward each other, desire of understanding each other, knowing each other, helping each other, forgiving each other.

It is Christ’s Message taken up anew, in the same words almost, but adapted to the thousand years and more difference that lies between the year one and today. No man could fail to be better because of this Book.

I commend it to you all. If ever the name of Bahá’u’lláh or ‘Abdu’l-Bahá comes to your attention, do not put their writings from you. Search out their Books, and let their glorious, peace-bringing, love-creating words and lessons sink into your hearts as they have into mine. *

You have to backtrack now, to give your religion some legitimacy with us.

I don’t eat popcorn too much, but when I do…I like it to be for something Epic… like breaking open the seals and revealing the hidden books.

Some people are so difficult to please. 😃

With love Techno, do you tell God that He backtracked when He causes the sun to rise again in the morning?

You can show a Baha’i ANY VERSE from the Bible or Quran and we will be able to unlock the most profound aspect of the Truth contained within it. So profound in fact that you would likely not appreciate it.

When the Bab was discovered by Mulla Husayn, it was only because of the purity of Mulla Husayns heart that this occurred. He prayed and fasted for 40 days before God opened His eyes, His spiritual eyes to be able to accept the Bab as the Revealer of a Divine Revelation.

I suggest you consider doing the same thing and see what happens. Worst comes to the worst, you become a better Catholic 🙂

Please consider the knowledge is not from Servant.

I think he issued a challenge to you, to provide a verse so he could provide an answer.

In providing that answer He would have to use the Keys provided by the Bahai Writings.

It is not pride but confidence in The Word that has been provided for the guidance of humanity.

Hi Mike, you take care as well 👍

Wider meaning has lots of references in other scriptures.

There are traditions that every word has seventy meanings, one of which is known, best to post this reference as follows;

"Thus hath Ṣádiq, son of Muḥammad, spoken: “God verily will test them and sift them.” This is the divine standard, this is the Touchstone of God, wherewith He proveth His servants. None apprehendeth the meaning of these utterances except them whose hearts are assured, whose souls have found favour with God, and whose minds are detached from all else but Him. In such utterances, the literal meaning, as generally understood by the people, is not what hath been intended. Thus it is recorded: “Every knowledge hath seventy meanings, of which one only is known amongst the people. And when the Qá’im shall arise, He shall reveal unto men all that which remaineth.” He also saith: “We speak one word, and by it we intend one and seventy meanings; each one of these meanings we can explain.”
reference.bahai.org/en/t/b/KI/ki-8.html

Thus with this one could see we can not restrict the Word to our own understanding.

I’ll need credible information outside of Baha’i sources
Of course we are all about deception and not the Truth.

If you like please pursue your own research, we have provided the efforts of another peraon who would have been after the facts and not putting things where they could not be put.

God bless and regards Tony

I seen it as more of a statement, not as a challenge. I’ve noticed before in different treads there was difficulty understand the parables of Jesus from the Baha’i. Its merely Baha’u’llah manipulation of the verses
