Compare the Revelations

Mohammed had no witnesses

Although many people saw Mohammed’s alleged reactions to the visions

which he claimed to have, no one actually saw the visions. And these

visions are the only miracle which Mohammed could claim.

I don’t know about you, but if someone stopped, froze, had a seizure

and then turned to me and said, “I just saw God”. I would be skeptical

until the person provided some sort of proof.

Compare Mohammed to Paul

Paul also had many visions which no one else saw. He had the famous

one on the way to Damascus when Jesus knocked him off the horse.

Although his companions saw nothing, they were also knocked down as

though dead. However, we don’t need their witness to help us believe

Paul’s testimony. Paul had miracles which were witnessed by many.

He brought a boy back to life. Did Mohammed bring anyone to life?

He healed a cripple with a word. Did Mohammed heal anyone?

His garment need only touch someone and they would be healed. Was

Mohammed so holy that even his garments would heal people?

Therefore, because of these miracles, Paul’s testimony is more believable than Mohammed’s.

Now compare Mohammed and the Apostles

Again Mohammed was the sole witness to his revelation and Mohammed had

no miracles to back up his claims.

The Apostles all saw Jesus and saw many of his miracles. The miracles

they saw are too many to recount in this small message, but if you doubt, read the

Gospels.

Not only did the Apostles see Jesus’ the miracles but they also performed many themselves and many, many people saw them.

people.

Compare Mohammed and Jesus

We have made this comparison before. Even the Quran says that Jesus

was born of the Holy Spirit and was without sin. And the Quran admits

that Jesus will be our judge at the end times.

Compare the Quran and the Bible

Although the Quran was written after thirty years of revelations and written by many men, the revelations only occurred to one man who then dictated the contents to others. After many years of writing and accumulating the data with many scribes, the final compilation of the Quran was not done by Mohammed. He left a trail of original writings on palm leaves and bark and whatever could be used to write these revelations. After Mohammed died, his followers promptly had all the original Quran burned. A certain copy was kept but no way to check if it was authentic.

Think about it and compare this behavior to the Christians and Jews who painstakingly preserve every fragment of the Bible that they find. Any portion of the Bible that has been destroyed has been so by the ravages of time. No original Bible has ever been burned and destroyed intentionally by any Christian or Jew.

Yet Muslims didn’t even try to preserved the original writings of the Quran? Why?

Consider the time

The Bible was written in a span of over 2000 years by many, many Prophets (beginning with Moses)and Apostles (ending with John) who heard the Word of God or witnessed His miracles and were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write it down.

The Quran was begun and finished in a span of thirty or forty years.

consider the nature of the revelations

The revelation to Mohammed essentially undid everything that God had revealed to the Jews and the Christians. It has so reversed Judeo-Christian theology that the Muslims say the Bible has been corrupted by Jews and Christians.

In addition, the revelation to Mohammed has removed any authoritative interpretation of the Word of God. Muslims essentially interpret the Quran personally or they may adhere to the interpretation of a particular school of thought or of some country, but they are under no obligation to do so.

The revelation by Jesus Christ was not that of a book. Jesus revealed Himself and proved that He was God by performing many miracles. Even His enemies confirmed that He had called Himself God, that was the reason they crucified Him. Jesus also selected a group of people to be the founders of His Church, His mystical body, which He left on this earth to be the Spiritual authority of all mankind. This mystical body continually brings forth God’s Traditions and His Word and interprets it authoritatively for all mankind. This Spiritual Body is the Catholic Church.

This Spiritual Body has stood for over 2000 years. Even though the Muslims believe their religion has stood for over 1400, it really hasn’t. True Islam died with Mohammed. Today they have a fragmented religion loosely patterned after the Quran, but the Islamic theocracy which Mohammed dictated is practiced nowhere in the world.

Sincerely,

De Maria

How about you compare Christianity to other religions brought by previous prophets. No other religion has trinity in it. But fine, lets compare.

Comparing Muhammad pbuh and Paul (revelations and miracles)

Bishop John S. Spong (Episcopal Bishop of Newark)

“Paul’s words are not the Words of God. They are the words of Paul- a vast difference.”
  • Paul was simply a liar confirmed by Jesus pbuh himself. Receive revelations while he lied three times successively about ever knowing Jesus pbuh. And later perform miracles by Jesus’ name. Read what Jesus pbuh says about the likes of Paul
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?.
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Mathew 7:22-23)

Jesus pbuh gave no exception not to Paul not to anyone to perform miracles in his name.
  • Muhammad pbuh on the other hand, even his enemies testified of his truthfulness and honesty.
As for the miracles, all the miracles performed by Muhammad pbuh where from Allah (swt) not from Jesus pbuh. The greatest of all miracles is the Qur’an the true word of God, which we still have it till this day and stay till the Judgement day. Show me the miracles of any Prophet that existed after his death, none not a single Prophet. Because they where all sent for specific periods of time, or to specific people. While the Qur’an was meant to all Mankind till the Judgement day.

Beside the Qur’an many miracles where performed by Muhammad pbuh (by Allah’s Leave), miracles reached thousands. Here are some of them:

The splitting of the moon, water flowing from between his fingers, increasing the quantity of food and water, the glorification of the food, the palm tree yearning for him, stones greeting him, the talking of the poisoned leg [of roasted sheep], trees walking towards him, two trees that were far apart coming together and then parting again, the barren [and therefore dry] sheep giving milk, his returning the eye of Qatidah bin an-Nu`man to its place with his hand after it had slipped out, ……

Read: some are mentioned here islaam.com/Article.aspx?id=596

Compare Muhammad and Jesus peace be upon them both.

The Qur’an simply commands the believers not to make distinction between the Prophets for they are all Brothers. Allah (swt) can make distinction between them for he created them, but we can’t.

“. The Messenger (Muhammad pbuh) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, “We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers” – and they say, “We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all).” (Qur’an 2:285)

You say “Even the Qur’an says that Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit and was without sin”

This is what the Qur’an says

“(Remember) when the angels said: “O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allâh gives you the glad tidings of a Word “Be!” - and he was! i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allâh.” (Qur’an 3:45)

You said “And the Qur’an admits that Jesus will be our judge at the end times.”

This is one good example why Christians have deviated from the original message preached by Jesus pbuh, you twist his words.

This is what the Qur’an says my friend:

“And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being], before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection, he 'Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.” (Qur’an 4:159)

He’s gonna be a “witness” not a “judge”. The only Judge on that Day is Allah (swt).

“And (remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allâh?’ “He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All Knower of all that is hidden and unseen. Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allâh) did command me to say: ‘Worship Allâh, my Lord and your Lord.’ And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world).” (Qur’an 5:116-117)

Compare Qur’an and the Bible

As this topic has been discussed a lot, and we all know the Bibles that you have in your hands does not stand a chance against the Qur’an in every way. One single fact is enough to be mentioned here, we Muslims have One Book (One Version), the Catholics’ Bible has 73 books in it, and the Protestant Bible has 66 books in it. On top of all this, the church publishes a new version every number of years, editing verses, words and as you can see whole books, all under the banner of “a better translation”. One more thing I have to mention here, just in case you don’t know it: The revelation contained in the Qur’an has been transmitted to us by numerous persons in two ways: orally and in written
Form, and till now more than 1400 years after its revelation the two are identical. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims, I don’t want to say millions know the Qur’an by heart.

witness-pioneer.org/vil/Books/Denffer_uaq/Ch2.htm

Consider the Time

I like this, ok let’s consider the time, you say “The Bible was written in a span of over 2000 years by many, many Prophets (beginning with Moses) and Apostles (ending with John)”

I have a question here if it was written by Moses pbuh then how come it says things like

“So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord” (Deuteronomy 34:5)

And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eyes was not dim, nor his natural force abated.” (Deuteronomy 34:7)

Moses is writing his own book yet he’s talking about his own death and in the past tense!!! Please.

You said “The Qur’an was begun and finished in a span of 30 or 40 years”, just a small correction it began and finished in a span of 23 years.
I don’t see how this is a bad thing, on the contrary it’s a positive thing.

Considering the nature of the Revelation

I don’t where to start, I’m gonna go quickly on some points mentioned here.

Your claim “The revelation to Mohammed essentially undid everything that God had revealed to the Jews and the Christians.”

This is unbelievable, I mean you the Christians say that the Personality of God who revealed the OT is very different than the Personality of God who revealed the NT. The only book that deviates far from the original message sent by God to all his prophets is your book. The concept of Trinity was not preached by any Prophet. All of them worshiped One God, and submitted to the will of the One true God.

Again this is your claim “Muslims essentially interpret the Qur’an personally or they may adhere to the interpretation of a particular school of thought or of some country”

This is what Allah (swt) say in the Qur’an “Then it is for Us (Allâh) to make it clear to you” (75:19).

You said “Jesus revealed Himself and proved that He was God by performing many miracles”

Let me see, Moses pbuh performed miracles, how about David, Solomon, Joseph, etc… are they Gods too!!!

“This Spiritual Body has stood for over 2000 years. Even though the Muslims believe their religion has stood for over 1400, it really hasn’t.”

The reality is that Islam is the fastest growing religion, so wake up.

Peace

I see, so that means it is true? If there was one Catholic left on this earth it wouldn’t take away from the truthfullness. The FACT still remains, your religion is based on a guy who heard “Allah” all by his lonesome, and invented a religion (Catholic heresy, to be more exact) by himself. He was illiterate, so you hang your hat on that as proof that he couldn’t have written it by himself, and that is it, that is all your proof. There was a famous writer who dared say Mohammad received his “revelation” from the Devil and a bounty was put on his life by your fellow "holy"Muslims.
Maybe, no definitely, it is you who should get your head out of the sand. I say this with the hope you get to heaven someday, if I make it, I would love to give you a big hug.

Comparing religions over which is more true is useless, People on both sides say the same things.

Thanks You for the quote. I still have no proof weather the Quran is a revelation from God or from the Devil. Please remember, Satan is the father of lies; he can write very beautiful things in order to deceive.

There is one truth. God wants us to search for the truth. Not searching for the truth is a worse sin then doing your best search and settling on the wrong religion.

To search for truth we can use: revelation, history, philosophy, theology and our own personal experiences. To communicate with each other we can use discussion and charitable debate as long as we are on the path towards the truth.

I was replying to De maria’s claims “This Spiritual Body has stood for over 2000 years. Even though the Muslims believe their religion has stood for over 1400, it really hasn’t. True Islam died with Mohammed.”

A dead religion won’t be spreading at this rate, or at least it’ll be declining.

But anyways, at least, we don’t worship Muhammad pbuh, we worship Allah (swt) who is Ever-Living and never dies.

“Muhammad (SAW) is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)? And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allâh, and Allâh will give reward to those who are grateful.” (Qur’an 3:144)

Too bad every discussion leads to uncharitable discussions.
Please remember we are all sinners with different skills. We are all on a different point on the journey to truth. If we fall short of our expectations, it’s still better then having no expectations at all.

If someone has an agenda aimed at converting another, it’s only because they love the other person. This goes for both Christians and Muslims. If they didn’t love the others here, they would not care to share their understanding.

I bet Yahya pbuh (John the Baptist) also killed the husband of that Jewish prostitute who ordered his beheading. What about Zakariya pbuh, even your own Prophet Jesus pbuh was persecuted by the Jews, haven’t Allah (swt) saved him, they would’ve killed him too. As this is the strategy of the Jews, if they don’t like the teaching of a prophet they kill him.

1 Thessalonians 2:14,15: “…for ye also have suffered like this of your countrymen, even as they have of the Jews; who both killed the Lord Jesus Christ and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men.”

(Qur’an 2:87) “And indeed, We gave Mûsa (Moses) the Book and followed him up with a succession of Messengers And We gave 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Rûh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)] Is it that whenever there came to you a Messenger with what you yourselves desired not, you grew arrogant? Some, you disbelieved and some, you killed”
Code:
**(Qur'an 2:91)**"And when it is said to them (the Jews), "Believe in what Allâh has sent down," they say, "We believe in what was sent down to us" And they disbelieve in that which came after it, while it is the truth confirming what is with them Say (O Muhammad to them): "Why then have you killed the Prophets of Allâh aforetime, if you indeed have been believers?"

Yes, He asked the Father to forgive them when He was on human nature.
John 1:1-3, 14—“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
