What thin skin you have. Don’t you realize people who post questions like this are simply ignorant of the truth? C’mon, man, you come to CA as often as you do and this forum is FOR this sort of thing, so why are you so offended? With all the stuff I read on this forum from non-Catholics you must walk around pretty pissed all the time.

You are correct. Steel Arrow is a disgruntled former Catholic. 'Nuff said. There are lots of trolls on these forums. They are not here to learn or inquire, but instead to just cause hate and discontent. I see them for what they are and do not waste much time on 'em.

Explain how I took his bait, or how my skin is thin. I really fail to see how my quote was defensive/offended.

Funny, thats not the first time people have assumed I am always pissed off for taking things seriously, ironic since I dont think anyone enjoys living as much as I do.

And now I can’t seem to find the post that I meant to reply to. Oh well, as Gilda Radner used to say when it was pointed out to her in her SNL skit that she was rebutting something that wasn’t even being argued…“Nevermind!”

I was under the impression that alternate viewpoints on various faiths was welcome here. At least that is what the subject header states. I have noticed more politeness given to our practioner of Wicca, than has been shown to me.

Yes, I am a former Catholic. Do I hate catholics? No! I do have serious questions and thoughts regarding Catholicism. I was hoping that the participants in this forum would have been more respectful of a viewpoint that was different from theirs. I have been attacked and accused of heresy and blasphemy. While some of the participants vigorously defend their faith, I in turn, am not being given even minimal respect in the defense of mine.

Is it possible for a former Catholic, to fully participate in a friendly, stimulating discussion with Catholics on various subjects of belief, without fear of misplaced reprisal?

Probably not. People have been killing each other for ages over God. A few snippy comments here is nothing compared to that.

If you really want to see some bloodshed, go over to the Eastern Religions forum.

The Orthodox, who like you are former Catholics, really give as much grief as they take.

It really, really hurts when someone turns his back on family.
