Comparing Islamic and Christian End Times

I wrote to a friend and mentioned to him that I thought Islam was much more agreeable to me than Judaism because of Jesus’ exalted status in Islam. In reply, he sent me this website:

which attempts to show that the use of Jesus in Islam is in fact a crafty trick by Satan.

Anyway, read the article and lets have some discussion. I would especially like to hear from Muslims to know if this article has misrepresented your beliefs. Also, I would like to add that I’m undecided on much of what is said therein and some of it seems “odd” to me to say the least.
 
Wow. That is all I can say right now. Wow.

It seems like they hold the position that the end times in Islam is the same told from the Anti-Christ’s view. In other words, they are on the wrong side.

I will need to study this more to comment.
 
From what i know, the second coming of “Issa” to do many things among them destroying the Christian symbol (crucifix) could be listed as an Anti-Christ from a Christian perspective.

That was exactly my reaction… Wow. and yeah, this needs to be looked at further. We also need a Muslim to agree that these are their established beliefs.

I hope that by the end of this thread I’ll be able to give an educated opinion on the subject.
 
This is interesting, but having been around Muslims for most of my life I can tell you, what they believe about the end times depends upon which branch of Islam they follow. And trust me, all people from the Middle East are not and do not believe the same! (I have distant Turkish relatives too, totally different)

The Sunni and the Shia prophecies are at odds with each other. And then I have had Muslims tell me that the Koran does not mention the end times at all. I think a lot of it comes from the the Sunna, which is a blend of the Koran and the Hadiths. The Hadiths are like a collection of historical accounts/stories about the Prophet and some of the followers.

I have heard basically the same thing that the article talks about, that the false Christ, (I heard him called the Massikh-Dajjal), will be killed when Isa, son of Mary returns. And I have heard too, like another stated, that Isa will destroy the cross.

There are some Hadiths wherein (or so I have been told) Muhammad said that all the messengers from the time of Noah has given warnings in the book about the time of the Anti-Christ.

One thing interesting, is that most believe that the anti-christ is alive right now.

FYI, I am not a Muslim, just thought I should add that.

I personally was searching the Bible for Muhammad claimed prophecy (that Jesus said he would come after him, (Quran 61:6)), but I was shocked not to find it, and I was shocked again when I’ve found some other prophecies for him (considering that the ones in Revelation specifically mentioning a single false prophet, not false prophets), and there is only one claimed prophet whom came after Jesus.

(Matthew 7:15-16):
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?”

(Revelation 16:13):
“Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.”

(Revelation 19:20):
“But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image”

(Revelation 20:10):
“And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
