**I did not attack or preach against your Trinity. **
You said: "There should be one word for God. You want to call God “Trinity”. Well you can have it."

AND

"But you want to call God “Trinity”. I say it is not suitable by any means. It won’t fit into things. You may believe in Trinity. But you should not name God as “Trinity”.

If that is not an attack, I do not know what is. 😦
**I simply said that God cannot be named Trinity. **
God as Trinity is proper doctrine.

** If I try to read all about Trinity, it will be told to me that it is a mystery. **There are many “Mysteries” of faith in the Apostolic Church. The sacraments are also “Mysteries”. 👍
** So what use will be the study when the Catholics do not understand it themselves.**

Catholics and Orthodox understand it very well, thank you.

**Have you tried to carry your Trinity to the Jews, i.e. Your forefathers, your leaders and the people of Jesus time? Please convince them about Trinity. They may teach you some good lesson. Then you may come back to us. Thanks. **I have a very good Jewish friend who is in the process of converting to the Orthodox Church at this very moment. It was the understanding of the Holy Trinity that was instrumental in bringing him to the faith. I pray that you will also see this light.

And now I will say once more: instead of continually derailing this thread, start another one regarding the Trinity since you are so interested.

How can Islam be an Abrahamic religion when it contradicts Judaism and Christianity?

Clear Contradictions on Major Issues

Oddly enough, while the Koran repeatedly affirms and relies upon the Judeo-Christian scriptures, it specifically denies the main premises of both Testaments.

With regard to Judaism and the Old Testament:

1.) The Koran denies the unique position of the Jews as God’s Chosen People, uniquely chosen apart from all other nations and descending through Isaac alone.

2.) The Koran denies the necessity of keeping the Law of Moses.

With regard to Christianity and the New Testament, particularly the Gospels:

1.) The Koran denies that Jesus is the Son of God and the Trinitarian view of God.

2.) The Koran denies that Jesus was crucified to atone for men’s sins and that he rose from the dead three days later.

The inescapable conclusion is that we would be closer to truth if we conclude that Islam is not a religion at all [much less and Abrahamic religion] than we would be if we accepted the message of Mohammed:

Conclusions about Islam

So, we conclude from this intensive study that we must reject Islam’s claims as well. There are two main reasons for this rejection. First, though Islam has historically identifiable origins, these origins do not provide any reason for concluding that Mohammed’s teachings are an accurate view of God, the universe, and mankind. Instead, the circumstances surrounding the origin and rise of Islam can clearly be understood simply as a product of normal human affairs and ambitions.

So, planten, your God is not at all a mystery? You know Him thoroughly? And you know everything about each man and each woman on earth?

You should know that the Apostles already tried in their days, and a number of people from then on. That they didn’t believe that Jesus is God the Son doesn’t mean that Jesus was not. As for faith lessons… they might give us some lessons to a certain extent, and maybe you can too. But as for faith in Jesus the Messiah, ahem… that seems to be a step too high for them and for you, even though you don’t need so much instruction to have faith in Him.
Because of free will and of our finite minds, one may not accept to follow a teaching which he doesn’t fully understand (even though he can understand what would be enough for him to accept it if he had enough trust and confidence to go forth into that faith). Also, many had decided that Jesus was a false prophet and a false Messiah.

** So what use will be the study when the Caholics do not understand it themselves.**
So, you can’t come to have faith in anybody on their own word? Don’t you sometimes receive instructions from people you trust that you may find strange when they are uttered but that you accept nevertheless because they are uttered by somebody that you have come to trust greatly?
Can’t you trust anybody completely?

As for trying to compare a religion to another one… of course it’s always interesting to find things common to both, and to be able to discern the differences. Provided that the things mentioned are genuinely authentic.
