Juno, I believe that Toltec Teaching is about how we deal/see this world. While certain Nagual affected me like Jerusha has said, but if I said I am the follower of that Nagual, it means I don’t get the essense of Toltec Teaching. To my understanding, Toltec Teaching teaches us to ‘change ourselves’. Nagual is respected for they hold the ancient secret of Toltec Wisdom, but THE WISDOM is for everyone. I choose to follow the teaching, not to certain people. What I mean follow no one in answering cyber is that I am not following Isis anymore.

Kristina, I don’t feel offended at all. But actually, I notice that sadly, you are domesticated too. You are born and raised as a Catholic (probably) and you live as a Catholic, live around Catholic people. And of course, you are not prepared to accept a very DIFFERENT notion than your dogma.
Heh. Actually, I was born and raised a Southern Baptist and was heavily indoctrinated against Catholicism. I have spent most of my life surrounded by people of many different faiths and have studied the teachings of many different faiths, as well as the historical and philosophical support for those teachings. My conversion to Catholicism has been the result of much study and prayer. It seems to me that you believe that anyone who disagrees with you is somehow brainwashed? I’m not trying to make fun of your beliefs; I only want to clarify them.

Dear…dear. Not at all. I say WE ARE DOMESTICATED. So I am also learning the way to free myself of this domestication and see life as it is. I am glad you have struggle to come to your Catholic faith. But if you think, not only religion wise, there are a lot of things we get from domestication. For example, if you go to a dark place, do you feel some uneasiness inside your heart? (just like how I feel?) Or have you ever think why many people (especially Children) would love to dream of being a doctor or lawyer, than being a post officer? That’s domestication. People around you, including your parents, tell you all the time what is good, what is not. What is expected from you and what is not. This is domestication. I hope it is understandable for you.

Ah, okay. As a general principle, then, sure I believe in what you call domestication. But I don’t think it extends as far as Toltec teaching seems to imply. For example, while I may have picked up a subconscious fear of the dark, I don’t believe that my perception of a chair as distinct from myself as distinct from God is the result of domestication. Evidence shows me that darkness, of itself, is nothing to fear. I have no evidence that falsifies my perception of objects and beings as distinct from one another.

When WE ARE DOMESTICATED, we are not free. We cannot see things as IT IS, but as other people taught us. IF you care to read THE FOUR AGREEMENT by Miguel Ruiz, you will find that everything suddenly makes sense. Not that I want you to follow Miguel Ruiz. Follow the teaching, it will help you to overcome this, and make you a new person.

I appreciate your concern for me, but I believe that Jesus has already made me a new person. For me, everything already makes sense. As I said before, I see no reason at this time to believe that my perception of the world is faulty. You repeat your statements that I am domesticated and that I can’t see things as they really are. Repeating these assertions does not change the fact that you offer no support for them. I may or may not read the book you recommend, but I doubt that Ruiz can offer me any evidence or support for the position, either. You think this philosophy is right for you. Please understand me when I say it is not right for me.

There…there. I believe that life is a matter of choice, so I am not at all offended or want you to do something that you don’t want, Kristina. Every teaching has its beauty.

Ah, we agree. I just think that a teaching can have a certain aesthetic beauty without being actually true. It’s enjoyable to study other religions and philosophies and see the beauty and complexity of the human mind through them. I would like to know more about Toltec Teaching.

That’s beautiful. There’s nothing new under the sun. I may have to add a bit that "There’s nothing new under the sun in SUBSTANCE, although there are a lot of new things in FORM. Salvation is the matter of faith. Every religion thinks that they are saved because they hold their religious teaching as the ULTIMATE TRUTH. Of course, that is natural, and so human. I will not want to judge anything of that. To learn a bit about Toltec Teaching, you can read that Ruiz book. I myself read Bible a bit. I plan to read Quran, but I am discouraged by what I read in the forum 9:29. May be after finishing Bible, I would love to read Veda.
