Good luck. I’ve only ever found Catholic new testaments

There’s the Bible app. There’s also the truth and life dramatized New Testament for sale on the ewtn app

Catholic new testaments
Not to split hairs, but there are no differences in the canon of the NT used by Catholics or Protestants, and translation would not be an issue in an audio bible since, obviously, they have no footnotes or commentaries,

Actually there is a difference in audio bibles. For example when Jesus talks about divorce

Again, that’s a translation issue, not an interpretation issue. A well catechized Catholic (remember, there are not footnotes or commentaries included in Audio Bibles) should easily be able to reconcile the differences…Even among “Catholic Bibles” there are those who would say the NABRE is not as good as the RSV2CE which is not as good as the DR.

There’s a youtube playlist with a full Catholic bible here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBaA8X1HmU02jSwhEmVz8TzC07ThZ3JjA

I don’t think it fulfills all your criteria because you need to be online to stream each book. I wonder if anyone knows where the audio came from – perhaps it could be downloaded apart from the video. And if you have Youtube Red you could download the books and then keep it offline.

no, there are websites that will convert youtube links to mp3 downloads.

Yeah but if I understand the moral law correctly you’d need to get permission from the copyright holder before downloading it. Unless there is no copyright.

I highly recommend the Truth & Life Audio Bible.

After you buy it , you can use it via a the Augustine Institute / Ignatus Press app, or even the EWTN app. Plus, Truth & Life has their own app too.

This one is great because it’s acted out with back ground sounds, etc. And they hired profession, big name Holywood actors, including: Neal McDonough, Sean Astin, Kristen Bell, Stacy Keach, Julia Ormond, Malcolm McDowell, Blair Underwood, Michael York, Brian Cox, John Rhys-Davies and many more.

And for the Old Testimate (even though it’s the New King James Bible), I suggest The Word of Promise Audio Bible

Both audio Bibles were created by the same company, and use actors… one for Catholics (Truth and Life) and one for Protestants (Word of Promise)

God bless!

Grab 72 of your closest Catholic friends and each of you can take turns recording one book of the Bible. You’d need to pick a translation that is in the public domain, so you’d probably choose the Douay-Rheims. Then you can upload it to the internet for all Catholics to have access to a free Catholic audio Bible.

I’d choose Obadaiah or Philemon before the only thing left to pick from is the Psalms or Isaiah. 🙂

When your budget is “free”, there are limits. Begin with what is free and save up to buy a paid version.
