scenario:

Seans friend has a new game he wants and that friend decides to sell it to him for a ridiculously cheap price compared to what it would normally sell for. But then Sean gives the game back to his friend and downloads a free torrent of the game so they both would have it. Would he still legally own the rights to play the game? or would this be another form of stealing?

Its the same as buying off amazon or ebay but from a friend instead of a stranger id think

and if the above is considered stealing would it not be if sean kept the game instead of returning it and downloading it of some random site?

Downloading torrents of games, music and software that you have not legally purchased is stealing.

The Eighth Commandment is Thou Shalt Not Steal.

If you have been doing this before you should stop. You should buy the extra copy.

God Bless 🙂

so downloading torrents of certain movies or games is ok if I bought it legally but just want it in a different format?
