Psalm 110 appears every Sunday Evening in the Divine Office. But only today did I notice that it includes verses 1-5, and 7. Why not verse 6?
So I looked up verse 6…“He will judge the nations, heaping up corpses, smashing heads on the wide plain.”
Hmmm, a long way from being conciliatory? Just a shade too violent?
O well, this is the Divine Office, after all, and I will omit verse 6 like all good Dodos.
