Yes, Jesus died for Mary. His sacrifice, as it is eternal and timeless, was applied to her at the moment of her conception to keep her free from sin.

This might be difficult to answer but how did His sacrifice stop her from sinning?

So, baptism forgives us of all our sins, and original sin. What is not removed is something called concupisce, which is our tendency to desire to sin. Jesus, being God, was not affected by concupisce, and God also removed this from Mary. This wasn’t because she deserved or merited it, but to give greater glory to Himself.

God gave Mary the gift of being conceived without sin, in anticipation of the salavivic act of Jesus Christ who was to come.

And that the merits of his crucifixion kept her from sinning?

Does that mean unlike for others Christ’s crucifixion destroyed for Mary concupiscence? At the moment of conception.

What does Christ crucifixion have to do with concupiscence and the Immaculate Conception?

Jesus died for Mary as well as all human beings.

However, being born without original sin, she was still born into a world of sin and had the temptations of being human, as Adam and Eve had.

Only, Mary remained without sin and is without sin today.

When Pope Pius IX defined the dogma of Mary’s Immaculate Conception he said , “Wherefore, in humility and fasting, we unceasingly offered our private prayers as well as the public prayers of the Church to God the Father through his Son, that he would deign to direct and strengthen our mind by the power of the Holy Spirit. In like manner did we implore the help of the entire heavenly host as we ardently invoked the Paraclete. Mary was conceived immaculately " in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race,"

In other words Mary was saved in a unique way through the saving work her son and Saviour would complete for all .

It didn’t, per se. She was still capable of sin (just as Adam and Eve were capable of sin, since they, too, did not have the consequence of original sin in them). However, what makes Mary unique is the fact that she did not sin, whereas we all do sin.
