Would anyone happen to know of any traditional-style Ad Orientem, Novus Ordo with Gregorian chant in Latin, with communion rails being utilized (with communion on the tongue) and with traditional style vestments? I found some links to two, but, they’re far from my home diocese of Pittsburgh.

The other’s “Assumption Grotto” Parish in Detroit.
Any thoughts? Anyone know of any of this sort in Western Pa/Eastern Ohio?

I would guess that would be extremely rare in the modern Church. Most traditionalist priests have given up and just use the Traditionalist liturgy. Although if such a place were to exist my faith in the N.O. woudl be rejuvenated

JFYI: the TLM is not a “new Mass” it is very very old.

I think that Bear06 attends a mass that uses a 100% GIRM approved Mass with no extraordinary options. You might ask him. There have been a few others who have mentioned it to. I wish we had one where I live.

There’s a Franciscan monastery church in Youngstown, OH: Our Lady of the Afflicted, I think. The Mass is offered NO there. I don’t think it was in Latin, but they used communion rails and wore more traditional vestments. They did not offer ad orientem. This is about the closest I’ve seen to what you are talking about.

Thanks I’ll have to take a look. Is there a link to a websit of there’s possibly, that you could kindly provide me with, please?😃

Sorry, “Madaglan” I misspelled your screenname! 😃 My apologies!

I guess Brompton Oratory in London is a bit far away for you - it’s the only place I’ve seen it. 🙂

It’s been awhile since I’ve been there, but you might want to try Epiphany. Although I don’t remember communion rails being used…and if you do decide to visit, the parking is absolutely terrible unless you live within walking distance.

Never seen nor heard of celebrating it in my area or in any other states.

Laudater Jesus Christo
Instaurare omnia in Christo

What’s Epiphany? Is it in my diocese of Pittsburgh or a bit further away?
