The only problem with that would be the Cardnial then would be lying which is no good either. I think it is fake, or the diary was stolen.

I think even the idea of a Cardinal keeping a diary on the conclave proceeding is far fetched since it would violate the secrecy of the proceedings. In addition, there is too much of a chance that the diary would be stolen.
