Concupiscence and brain pleasure

How is Concupiscence (overwhelming desire for sex?) different than any other gluttony for drug, alcohol, food, gambling, excess materialism, etc. which causes temporary brain pleasure? Does the term refer only to sex? Is this big word just a fancy way to say that we are wimpy and lack willpower?

Concupiscence is our inclination to sin (CCC 1264). It is not limited to sex. Nor does it mean that we are wimpy; it is the consequence of Original sin.

In my theology classes, concupiscence has been defined as a “strong sensual desire” which includes but is not limited to sexual desires and would probably include all those other ones you mentioned above.

Yep. It was only over time that concupiscence became only linked to sex. But it is related to more than just sex.
