At least that’s where it’s at in my Bible.

Personally, I am using the Douay-Rheims, my Protest counterpart uses a KJV.
I am not sure which version OTCA is using.
The actual wording is different, but essentially conveys the same message.

The Bible I use is the one put together by the Apostles, the early Church fathers and many attending others.
So you all need to get a bible that was approved by the early church and stick to it, not one according to a German man’s, who lived 1,400 years later, who decided alone to remove 7 books of the bible. He acted as a single man, not as the instituted Church.
The Bible of the Church has Jesus appearing to the apostles in His ascended state before He was glorified in heaven. He appeared to them on the night of the Resurrection, on the same day the apostles discovered the tomb was empty. May be within 16 hours of His resurrection. He gave His power to the apostles to forgive sins…The priesthood instituted at the Last Supper. They were still afraid and in hiding, until Pentecost. It was the Holy Spirit Who delivered them, Mary and many others who received the tongues of fire and thus the Church began.
The wise ones have always said don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
You can’t trust just one man as the Know All. Christ did not choose one apostle. He chose 12. And when Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, and later died, the Apostles had to replace him.
No Lone Ranger founded the correct Bible.

As has been pointed out many times, Dr. Luther did not remove any books from the traditional western Bible. He translated and included the d-c books, as was customary.
I couldn’t agree more. He chose all of his apostles to lead His Church, not just one. And he put into their hands the power to bind and loose.

If He chose many different churches, then why the destruction of human life that followed the Reformation? When families break up because of Sola Scriptura to join some group that now has it ‘right’, it destroys the faith of the family…
America is hyper individualistic. We have now about 34,000 sects, cults as well as churches and denominations, and people cannot participate for various reasons in common worship and common bonds of charity. The Lord has called us to be one, a church comprised of a gathering of people, not centered on a particular laymen.
It was the great heresy of early Christian liturgies to deny the living presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
For about 1,500 years we all shared common belief in the Eucharist inspite even of the West/East schism. Sola Scriptura evolved from Europe and the faith there is dying. Islam will become the dominant religion some day.

No, Islam will never succeed Christ’s church He established. It will never happen. Catholicism is the leading church on earth, while Muslims are right behind. But they are constantly having babies and that is how they count their numbers. One day the world will all convert to the Catholic church, according to our Blessed Mother.
