fell into this sin…again

well, for the few days after confession, this addiction has been on my mind every single time. i tried to tackle it one day at a time.

and then the announcement for the monthly mass confession came. this time earlier than the usual end of the month mass confession. i figured that this is my chance to finally give in to sin, or else it would be so looooong till the next scheduled confession comes.

so i gave in to temptation…but have not the desire to go to confession anymore.

such a struggle:(

maybe doing a self imposed penance would help a bit? praying the rosary maybe? (which i actually daily pray)

😦 So sorry; is Confession unavailable at other times, such as a half hour before Mass etc.? Go anyway when you can, try not to let your feelings keep you away. It is worth it.

please do read the reflection I posted the link to above; I haven’t read it myself but Father Serpa suggested it and he I am sure would not suggest something wrong.
Please do pray and talk to God and ask Him to help you.
Ask Jesus to help you, ask Mary to help you, Mary the virgin who so wonderfully shows how BEAUTIFUL it is to live a CLEAN life. You will shine!!! (this about shining a priest said to me once about something else, about getting help overcoming some fears, but I think it is very applicable here too).
When you go to confession (provided that you regret that you gave in, but I think you do, it just seems the struggle is sooooooo hard), tell him honestly, openly… tell GOD openly all those feelings… also that you gave in in expectation of confession, because that in itself (can somebody help me here? It is true right?) can be a kind of sin (presumption, I think). But it sounds like in your case it is way more complicated, like the bad temptations USED the upcoming confession to make it harder for you… but you know, it doesn’t matter exaclty, just tell the priest and thus God how you remember that it happened, get the stone from your heart and be free again! And try anew, for GOD IS SOOOOOOOOO MERCIFUL!!!

What you are doing is grave matter and needs to be confessed in the next confession. You need to go to confession before you go to Holy Communion.

It’s not as simple as that, which has been much of the discussion in this thread. I suggest that you go back to some of the earlier posts which discussed the Church’s teaching on the moral culpability of the individual.
