I have been going to Mass weekly since the Feast of the Epiphany; I have been studying the Catechism and am starting RCIA classes in September. I pray the Rosary. I was raised in the Pentecostal Church and was Dedicated as an infant, but not baptized. I have two questions:
Am I considered a Christian in the eyes of God or the Church?
I know I cannot partake in the Holy Eucharist but would it be permissible for me to go to confession before I become an official Catholic?

Many thanks for your guidance.

Michael Francis

Pentecostal dedications and baptisms are not considered valid. This is because of their unitarian theology.

You need to be baptized before you can receive any of the other sacraments, so you would not be able to go to confession prior to that. Confession is for post-baptismal forgiveness of sins, all sins are forgiven at baptism.
