Gday,

Im a n00by! Gr33tings and peace to you all!

What if you go to confession, confess all the mortal sins you know of, then when you get to your act of contrition one pops up in your head that you hadn’t confessed yet and as soon as you finish the priest gives you absolution. Have you made a bad confession? This happens to me often and I don’t know how to reconcile it because I know I’m not deliberatly withholding the sin from the priest, I just didn’t get a chance to confess it.

Lol, help please!

there are at least 2 dozen threads asking this same question, do a search for some excellent answers and discussion, including counsel on avoiding scrupulosity. yes, you have been absolved, your sins are forgiven. This is not a crisis, it is a legitimate question about an important topic. A crisis is priests abusing children, Catholic theologians teaching heresy in seminaries, bishops embezzling funds, women being “ordained” by dissident bishops, people being killed in wars and natural disasters. Let us put some perspective to use here.

alright :D, thankyou so much! I do get ahead of myself and I do have scruples. You’re a smart cookie. Praise the Lord, thankyou so much!
