I don’t know if this is the correct forum to place this in.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been praying for me and offering their help. I finally have a confirmation date. It is August 8th at 1pm. It will be a private mass for me and family and friends in a little town outside of Shawano,WI. I am very excited, now to prepare for my confession  That’s ok I am looking forward to that too. I should feel about 20lbs lighter :rotfl: Also I have one more request, if when everyone is at Mass on the 8th please say a little prayer that everything goes well. My mother will be coming and she is less than thrilled about my coming home to the Church, also my sister is due with her first baby around that time, so I hope she doesn’t have it then. Thanks and God bless.

Welcome home! Keep praying for your mother, she may come around.

Great news Shari! My mother was not overl thrilled with my return to Rome, either, but she was understanding nonetheless. The fact that yours is attending your confirmation is a good sign I think.

I’m off on vacation tomorrow. You all have a great week!

Shari,

Not only will I pray for you that day, I’ll ask the priest to include you in the Mass intentions that day.

Welcome home.

Shari,

CONGRATS!!! I am really excited for you! I have to say, confession is a wonderful Sacrament, you will feel much better when you walk out… so free and re-freshed.

My wife and I were confirmed on May 29th, and have loved every day in the Church since then. Don’t worry about your family, they will understand, if not now, then later.

Good luck and congrats!!

Good afternoon. I just wanted to let everyone know how things went on Sunday the 8th. It was beautiful, the weather was sunny, the mass was great. It was a private mass and we had about 50 people attend, mostly family. My mom and sisters came. For those of you that know my mom has a hard time with my converting. She did come and she cried, probably louder than anyone. She couldn’t bring herself downstairs for the reception, but I was just glad she came. So anyway, I am now officially Catholic. Everyone keeps asking me if I feel any different, I think I am still in that “pinch me stage”. I received Jesus for the first time also. It was wonderful. I guess words can’t describe just how perfect everything was. Thanks to everyone who has been praying for me. Oh by the way we made an anouncement at the reception. My husband and I our are excpecting our 5th child. I had told my husband how nice it would be to be pregnant when I received Jesus. This was not planned, we weren’t going to start trying until fall. We are really excited about the new baby. We had the first ultrasound done and the baby was only 7mm long, the placenta hadn’t started to develope yet. It’s amazing how something so tiny can make me so sick, lol. The due date is March 24 although I usually tend to go into labor a little earlier than that. Thanks for all the prayers.
