I don’t think you did, and I know that none of us follow every thread, but I’m just pointing out that’s how some of us know she was a recent convert.

The raison d’etre of The Sacrament of Confession is to return to a State of Sanctifying Grace when one has lost it through Mortal Sin. This is orthodox Catholocism and it does not get more simple than this.
I have sometimes waited months for confession and when I’ve gone wondered why, thinking “this isn’t so bad.” Once it’s over with and one is absolved, the feeling of an outpouring of grace is incredible.
